Content Creation and The Job Search - Issue #31
Hey friends! This is my last newsletter for 2 weeks because I am off to Europe for a wedding and some time off! Obviously this topic is near and dear to my heart but putting yourself out there is SO DANG IMPORTANT when it comes to being discovered on the job search. In one of my recent episodes (link below) I talk about how and why you should be putting yourself out there!

Obviously this topic is near and dear to my heart but putting yourself out there is SO DANG IMPORTANT when it comes to being discovered on the job search. In one of my recent episodes (link below) I talk about how and why you should be putting yourself out there!

Tips:
Document the conversation and what you are learning daily - what did you learn today…or yesterday in your job search journey
Did you learn something new in your current job today? POST IT
Content creation allows you to be able to start a dialogue among strangers that you would have never met otherwise
Don’t be nervous about getting something wrong. Use it as an opportunity to connect. People correcting you is actually the best form of content creation because you can LEARN and ENGAGE
If you don’t want to post, you can comment and like posts! This is the equivalent of a handshake and ‘what do you do’ type of convo with strangers.
Be thoughtful in the comments!! Another great way is to literally just write your thoughts on someone else's post!
If you are going to blog, blog on LinkedIn. If you are a writer this is THE BEST place to host a blog. Don’t put it on a website.
Video carries a ton of weight. Get on TikTok and document selfie style about what you are learning (this is of course if you like the camera)
Talk in two weeks! Appreciate you a ton!
