Leveling Up Leaders vol. 1
What to expect with this newsletter
The gist:
Hi friends! Welcome to the very first volume of my newest newsletter endeavor: Leveling Up Leaders. If you’re here, you’re probably aware of my background, BUT if you’re new here’s the 30,000 foot view: I have been recruiting for 10+ years, with the last 7+ years focused strictly on IT recruiting. I have also had the opportunity to scale divisions 2-3X at every stop in my career at Vaco, the latest being our Global Solutions division. That being said, I have a huge passion for leadership and helping teams be as efficient as possible.
Those passions combined brought this newsletter to life. Leveling Up Leaders is here to address the challenges of finding true senior-level talent and of finding leadership-level jobs. Each week I will send out Vaco Global Solutions’ top senior-level candidates and leadership opportunities with our clients. The newsletter will resemble the below, just imagine it without these two paragraphs :)
What you’ll actually see each week:
Senior-level candidate profiles:
Candidate #1: React Developer (Mitchell)
5 years’ experience with React, Node, Python & Closure
Placed at a previous client and came back with rave reviews
Prefers direct hire
Candidate #2: Software Engineer (Matt)
7 years’ professional experience with a heavy emphasis on AWS
6 projects where he architected/ built products end to end
Prefers contract roles
While these are our top two senior-level candidates we still have 29 PMs/BAs, 23 .NET developers and 17 Java developers in our pipeline. Hit me up if your org needs these skillsets.
Leadership Opportunity:
Director of Quality Assurance (IT)
This director role requires a person that can establish the overall organization, strategy, and QA processes. The candidate must be a collaborative person given the natural friction between Dev and QA. The client is looking for a composed leader who works well with the executive leadership within and outside IT. Success markers are bringing in technology suggestions for automation and the ability to setup testing frameworks.
This Florida-based client is a nonprofit educational institution that provides healthcare educational services including medical billing and coding, health information technology, health services, and health care management.
That’s all for today, folks! If you find this content useful please share. If you find yourself not wanting to receive this newsletter, email me to unsubscribe.
Y’all have a great day! -Tay
